Catalogue of a splendid collection of manuscripts, books, ephemera and objets d'art relating to Mary, Queen of Scots which was built up by Mrs George T. Bliss and donated to the Bibliotheque Nationale by her daughter. Originally issued with a portfolio of loose plates (not present here) illustrating some of the greatest rarities described in the main volume. With an index of names and an index of titles. Copy No.97. Paper wrappers torn with loss of parts of spine-panel and remains detached from textblock, glassine overwrapper torn with much loss, textblock somewhat tender, contents agetoned, an unopened copy that would benefit from rebinding.
