Toronto: S.J. Reginald Saunders, 1937. 91 pp, small 8vo (7 5/8" H). B&w illustrations. Inscribed on front free endpaper: "Mr and Mrs H.M. Campbell / May the star of happiness shine ever above the House of Campbell / Wilson MacDonald / 466 Holland Ave, Ottawa". "These poems are accurate character descriptions of people who dwell in a certain small town. This town quota is augmented by pen pictures of people living in a nearby village. As the author explains in his introduction, 'this outer excursion was necessary for 'William Ward' and 'George Francis' could scarcely have endured the atmosphere of Comber Cove'. Mr. Wilson MacDonald has long been urged to publish these brilliant Comber Cove poems, which the late Bliss Carman described as 'the greatest satire since the days of Juvenal'." Slight darkening to the text block edges. Dust jacket has moderate browning on edges, spine and part of rear panel, area d small line indentations on front panel, edge wear/wrinkling with a few tiny tears and chips, protected in a mylar sleeve.. Inscribed By Author. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good. Illus. by Frank A. Stockwell..
