About This Item
Boston, MA: Western Islands, 1965 Western Islands, Boston, MA. 1965. Softcover/Mass Market Paperback. Book is tight, square, and unmarked. Book Condition: Near Fine; scant edge bumping; light rubbing to wraps. Pictorial card stock wraps; spine is not creased or split; text is secure in binding. 120 pp 12 mo. Linington, a best-selling author of historical romances under her own name and of mysteries as "Dell Shannon" and "Lesley Egan," describes her investigation of the John Birch Society and her decision to join. She turned to the mystery novel in 1960. Under two pseudonyms and her own name, Linington has created four separate police routine series, each featuring a singular detective protagonist. The book covers a great many of the feelings of the nation toward the changes that were occurring in society as the progressive and liberal elements surfaced more in government. She felt these communist, socialist, fascist elements would change America and she wanted to be there to stop it. A clean very presentable copy
