About This Item
Venice, 29 January 1600. In Italian, 12 lines on 1 page, 12 x 8 inches, folded, in very good clean condition. In the 1980s the auction house Robson Lowe held a number of auctions of late sixteenth century correspondence sent to the Corsini family, the Florentine merchants. A proportion of these letters bear Merchant Guild Marks, evidence of the efficient European postal system set up by the merchant families.
