The first edition of this scarce work on flowers by Thomas Miller and beautifully illustrated by Birket foster in colour. The first edition. Scarce.In the publisher's original decorative pictorial cloth. Beautifully illustrated throughout with a illustrated title page, full colour vignettes by Birket Foster. This work was written by Thomas Miller and provides a visual guide to wayside flowers, with a poem to accompany a colour depiction of the flower by Foster and a description of the by Miller. In the publisher's original cloth. Externally, generally smart with slight fading to the spine, bumping to the extremities, rubbing to the extremities of the boards, small closed tears to the head of the spine, slight tidemarks to the boards and loss to the pictorial plates to the front of the boards and minor loss to the rear. Old ink inscription to the front free endpaper dated 1859 and a bookseller's label to the rear pastedown. Internally generally firmly bound with the odd page weak to the front spotting and generally bright pages. Good
