About This Item
Philadelphia: Univ Library Assn, 1894. Marbled paper boards quarter bound in leather, poor condition because spine is missing. Gilt upper edge. Hinges tight. Interior tight and unmarked. This is #131 of what is stated as a Connoisseur Edition of 1,000 copies of a set of Dumas's work. Curious though is that it states "1000 Numbered and Signed Sets". Dumas pere would have been dead a few decades by this time. Perhaps it was intended to be signed by Dumas fils, who did not write this book, and perhaps fils was too ill to sign by the time the set was published, given that he died in 1895. Or perhaps it's just sloppy wording by a sloppy publisher. Comprises in the same book Vol I (313 pp) and Vol II (321 pp).. First Thus. Quarter Bound Papered Boards. Poor/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Limited Edition.
