New York, NY: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1947. Hardcover. First Edition. xxixx; 551pp. Thick octavo in original green cloth silver lettering on spine and front and black design on front. Illustrated endpapers. Shelfwear on edges with some fading. Illustrated dustjacket is price clipped and has some chipping and rubbing, but still in very good condition. Bookplate of previous owner on front endpaper. Very good condition. Theodore Gordon was recognized as the leading American angling authority of his time. John MacDonald has gathered Gordon's writings on fly fishing using published resources and Gordon's personal papers. 1947
