This is a near fine hardcover with dust jacket. 1983 Houghton Mifflin Publishing. This copy is crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are still crisp and clean with no markings seen. Red hardcover boards with black/gold design cover and spine are also near fine. The binding is tight and straight. The accompanying dust jacket is clean and very good + with only very light shelf wear. Octavo book size or 6" x 9" with 875 pages including glossary.
This volume was compiled by editor Richard Chase, a noted folklorist. Back of dust jacket features illustrated portrait of Jopel Chandler Harris.
