Oxford: Aberdeen University Press, 1985. First Edition First Printing . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Royal octavo. 819, [1] pages. Hardcover bound in full blue leather. Minimal wear to the binding; the spine is a little sunned or faded. There is some black spotting on the fore edge and on the top edge of the text block. The text is sound and clean. SIGNED on the verso of the front flyleaf by the editor Mairi Robinson, senior editor Iseabail Macleod, and by the Secretary / Treasurer of the CSD, J. W. Mort. Text is unmarked. Housed in a blue slipcase which is a little bumped at the corners but which is sound with no splitting edges. (No dust jacket; the "Very Good" jacket designation is for the slipcase).
