With the hand-made bookplate of Peter Eives, Junior; which reads: "Peter Eives, Jnr. His Book 1726." In the front free endpaper, a note states "Joshua Wilson the gift of Mrs. Alexander Oct 23 1824." On-line entries identify a Peter Eives, wheelwright of Cranley, in Surrey, from a will dated 7 May, 1742. In his will, he mentions his son Peter, who, in 1742, was apparently not yet 21 years old.
