An in-depth analysis of one year in the life of Mark Twain, 1865, with analysis of how the events of the Civil War affected Twain both this year, and for the rest of his life. 242 pages with Index and Notes. Sturdy boards with cloth covered spine. Boards are flat, the corner are not bumped or creased. Dust jacket is intact and is not price clipped. No tears or edge wear to the jacket. This is not a remainder, not a library discard. No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages. The sewn binding is tight and square. The attached photo is of the copy we have in our inventory.
