Chapel Hill: University of North Carolina Press, 2001. Hard Cover. Very Good+ binding/Very Good+ dust jacket. Folio. xiv, 280 pp., illus. First edition, first printing. As issued, in publisher's cloth with dust jacket. A very bright copy with only a trace of sunning at the very top of the boards; top corners are trivially bumped; contents clean. A thorough study of a famed avenue recognized for its exceptional architecture but undoubtedly more for its controversial Confederate monuments, all of which were removed in 2020-2021. This is a remarkable study traces all aspects of the avenue including the history of the statues.
