About This Item
Grove Press, 1971. Hardcover. Very Good. 9x6x1. Collectible first US edition, first printing (stated) of notorious, early-century Austrian pedophile Edith Cadivec's erotic and graphic memoirs. Cadivec performed various acts of sadism involving birches, canes, whips, etc., culminating in sexual relations with underage girls, including her daughter. Ultimately, this led to her arrest and brief imprisonment. Published together, both her Confessions & Experiences and Eros were an attempt at justifying her activities and garnering sympathy. Bound in light-blue cloth with gilt lettering to spine panel. Includes priced dust jacket in archival Brodart sleeve. 383 pp. 8 1/2" x 6". Tight, unmarked copy with minimal wrinkling to head and tail of spine panel and otherwise crisp extremities. Sturdy hinges. Priced dust jacket near flawless with faint age toning and two tiny chips along top edge. An exceptionally presentable copy of an early and important erotica title. Photographs of or additional information about this item are available on request. All inquiries answered promptly.
