Lisbon, North Dakota: W.G. Crocker, 1907. Very good. 8vo., pp.126, green cloth lettered in black, index. A few blank pages have handwritten recipes.-- Spine and corners moderately rubbed. Light soil to the outer edges of the front cover, binding tight, internally clean and sound. Early 20th Century North Dakota Community Cookbook. Flint pickles, cherry shrub, mashed salsify, North Dakota brown bread, pie plant pie, and other lovely recipes from the pre-refrigeration era. -- Keeping Eggs Fresh: To a pail of water, add pint each of unslacked lime and coarse salt, keep it in a cellar or cool place, and put the eggs in, as freshly laid as possible. Eggs treated thus will keep for a year.--Mrs. Lindquist and Mrs. J.j. Hull.
