(20)pp. Bound in printed brown wrappers, sewn; covers darkened and starting to separate at spine. 9" x 5.75" Provenance: Signed at top of cover by William Croswell Doane (1832-1913), first Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Albany, and son of George Washington Doane, Bishop of the New Jersey Diocese. Tipped to the verso of the title-page of our pamphlet is an 11-line holograph note in the hand of Bishop Doane, in part: "The Vestry of each Parish or Church shall at every Annual Convention, pay to the Treasurer thereof, such sums as may be required from them respectively by resolution of the Convention...for the purpose of paying the Salary of the bishop, printing the Journals of the Convention & other incidental expenses...." Added in pencil, "Passed in 1851.
