A flawless copy of the facsimile edition of Continual Dew: A Little Book of Bourgeois Verse. Written by John Betjeman, the English poet and broadcaster, who served as the poet laureate of the United Kingdom from 1972 up until his death. The facsimile edition of this work, complete with the original John Murray bookmark loosely inserted. This work was originally published forty years earlier, in 1937. Illustrated throughout by a variety of artists, those being Mr. de Cronin Hastings, Mr E. McKnight Kauffer, Mr Osbert Lancaster, and Mr Gabriel Pippet, with several other images taken from various pre-war sources.Enclosed in the original very smart dust wrapper. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with gilt detailing to the front board. Externally, excellent. Original unclipped dust wrapper is very smart, with just some light spotting to the rear of the wrap and to the interior of the wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Fine
