This is the secoond book published by James Beard (1903-1985), who would become one of America's most popular food writers and hosted the first cooking show to appear on television. First published in 1941; this is a Fine copy of the Third Edition (stated), from two years later. Salmon-coloured cloth binding with a pictorial cover in red and block; titling in black on the spine. Clean text; 200 pages, indexed. The dustjacket is complete and nicely bright. It has been price-clipped and shows moderate rubbing around the margins. In an archival plastic protector.. Later Printing. Hard Cover. Fine/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
