About This Item

New York: Henry Holt and Company, 1918. Very Good/Very Good. New York: Henry Holt and Company, 1918. First Edition, First State with "3" to bottom of third page present and $1.30 net price for Chicago Poems facing title page. Octavo. 147 pages + 2 pages publisher's advertisements. Printed dust jacket with $1.30 price to spine. Light brown boards stamped in dark green.

Dust jacket with some light chipping at extremities and a touch of toning and rubbing. Boards chipped at top of spine, light shelfwear to bottom edge, and toning to spine ends. Binding is sound. Bookplate of Nat Wolff to front pastedown (likely not the Nickelodeon actor/singer). Light toning to endpapers opposite jacket flaps. Pages bright and unmarked.

Scarce in first state, with the Ahearns noting the jacket with the $1.30 price is reportedly earlier than jackets with no price.
