About This Item

MSS. An American writer, O'Hara's first novel Appointment in Samarra was an immediate success. He is best remembered for Butterfield 8, Pal Joey, A Rage to Live, The Doctor's Son and The Horse Knows the Way. M. 27pg. 8 ½" x 11". No date (circa 1968). No place. A photocopied typed manuscript of John O'Hara's 1968 short story "The Sun Room." It has been extensively marked up and edited. This came from the papers of noted author and editor, James T. "Bud" Shipley, and the corrections are likely in Shipley's hand. It shows O'Hara's story in a more embryonic form before publication. The condition is fine
