No Fading Or Aging To Cloth, A Few Pinpoint Rubs To Cover Paste-On Illustration Of An Eye In The Clouds, A Little Browning To Edges Of Page Block. Some Aging To Endpapers, With Faint Outline Of A Removed Bookplate. On Front Endpaper Is Some Erased Red Pencil "Get Circus Of Dr. Lao - Artzybasheff Illus...", Not In Miller's Hand, With 4 1/2" X 2 3/4" Finely Drawn, High Quality Drawing Of A Bearded Man's Head Looking Just Past The Viewer, In Which Tiny Lines In The Right Of The Beard Include Letters '4M..." And Possibly A Few More Letters, Apparently By Pierre Sicart. Inscribed By Miller To Pierre [Probably His Collector And Friend, The Artist Pierre Sicart], "For Pierre - Henry Miller 5/25/1973". Dj Is First Issue, Priced $2.50 On Rear Flap, Eye On Front Panel, Very Slight Wear, 1/8" Deep X 1/4" Long Triangular Chip At Top Of Front Panel With Associated Short Crease, And A 1/4" Closed Tear At Top Of Rear Flap Fold, Exceptionally Well Preserved.
