Culver City, CA: Columbia Pictures, 1955. Draft script for the 1955 film, here under the working title "The Calico Pony." Actor Van Heflin's copy, with his manuscript annotations throughout.
Heflin plays a Civil War soldier returning to his hometown as a minister, but his violent past follows him. The film debut of Joanne Woodward.
Red and black titled wrappers. Title page present with credit for writer Meadow. 146 leaves, mimeograph duplication, with annotations throughout. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Near Fine, internally bound with three gold brads.
