About This Item

New York: The Vanguard Press, 1935. First Edition . Cloth with Dustjacket. Uncommon. How big business tried to pull the wool over 1930's consumers. 49 b&w photos by the author along with a few ads. Kallet gives the low down on all sorts of products from laxatives, cars, clothes and food stuff. The photos are nice and simple and offers a nice array of 1930's products The very nice dustjacket has some chipping including the top of the front cover which affects the "T" of the title and other small bits of chipping here and there including the bottom of the front flap. The insides are quite nice with a small scrape to the top margin of two pgs. which slightly affect the title of the chapter and a word in a line of text. There is also a very faint spot here and there on the front endsheet. Vg./vg.
