H/b; d/w; vg/F-; 8vo; 336pp; 1st ed; a very nice copy of the book, but the previous owner rubber stamped 'this book belongs to' with a decorative rubber stamp on the fep and wrote her name underneath; Otherwise a very clean copy that looks carefully read once; unclipped d/w (15. 99) ; author has signed her name on the title page just by her name; The Course of Honour is a historical novel by Lindsey Davis, set in ancient Rome and concerning the emperor Vespasian and his lover Caenis. It was the first novel Davis wrote which was set in ancient Rome, but was not published until 1997; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .

Synopsis

Lindsey Davis was born in Birmingham but now lives in Greenwich. After an English degree at Oxford she joined the Civil Service but now writes full time.
