(xxxxvi) 85(86-88 blank) 152, 115 Gale traces every European language as well as pagan theology, politics and most branches of learning as having their source in Hebrew culture and traditions. One illustration at beginning of Book 1. Laid paper. Latin, Greek and Hebrew references. Robert Dudley in pen on title page. A little underling and notes in text as well as many pen and pencil notes on back endpaper. Page edges browned. 1/4"x3" corner cut in margins with scissors at front top of title page - does not enter printed page. A few light stains here and there and a little browning but text still in very nice condition. Half-bound marbled boards. Cover - front and rear boards detached. Spine leather missing. Corners of boards well worn. .
