About This Item
The complete history of Cowboy Art and its artists. The author has written a dozen books about the development of the Southwest. 16 pages of color plates and many black and white photographs. First Printing, 1968, so stated. The book is near fine condition with fading at the top and bottom edges and a slight fold on the front free end page. The pages are clean and unmarked, and the corners are square. The dust jacket has tears on the top and bottom front and the top spine. The back is scratched, and the corners are bumped and edgewear, at least there's no paper loss. Laid in is a personal letter, signed by Donna Pruitt to some friends gifting them this first edition copy of the book. The late western artist, Kelly Pruitt, is featured on pages 116 - 118. Kelly Pruitt has inscribed, dated and signed on the front free end page along with a half page sketch of an adobe farmhouse, a horse and some trees.
