Text is clean and unmarked, binding tight, owners name inside cover. Dust jacket shows signs of heavy wear with dings, nicks, rips and tears. As the song states "Listen my boys and you will hear my troubles on the old Chisholm Trail." Abilene was at the end of that trail. While its time as a high riding was a short 9 years, it still is known by its then reputation as the "wildest"cowtown in the west. This small book details the rise and fall of Abilene as Americans cattle trading center.
