Wear to spine ends, a few pages dinged/creased. Cranford, originally published in 1853, was presented as a BBC television program in 2007. It features several quaint old ladies & their social circle. Gaskell, 1810-1865, was an English novelist who depicted country and village life; she was friends with fellow female writers Charlotte Bronte & George Eliot.
