1884 first edition with burgundy cloth boards, golden lettering and lines on front cover and spine, and beautiful gilt edges. Spine has some sun fading, and gilded lettering and lines on spine has some rubbing/fading. Some letters of the gilded lettering on the front cover has very light rubbing and/or red tinting from background.

TEXT BLOCK UNMARKED! No dust jacket if issued. NOT ex library, NO USED stickers & NO sticker residue! From a private collection. Packed carefully with cardboard for extra protection during shipment. Top and bottom edge of psine has very light rubbing. Great copy, tight binding, has some light wear from shelf storage and reading. Clean pages; TEXT is CLEAN: NO underlining, highlighting, or writing. Page edges are free of remainder marks; Spine has some sun fading. Page ends are free of foxing. Book is ready to go & ships FAST in new, protective mailer with cardboard* with tracking with a trackable shipping label (based in the Northeast U.S.). *New or clean recycled cardboard will be used internally/externally to protect book from drops, dings, creases, and bumps during shipment.
