(New York): The Viking Press, (1961).. (1961).. Good. - Quarto, dark brown cloth titled in gilt on the spine, in a price-clipped dust wrapper. The covers are lightly rubbed & bumped. The dust jacket is rubbed & chipped with a piece of the top edge of the rear panel torn & creased. The dust jacket has several tears along the edges of its spine with pieces out of the head & tail. 153 pages. Full-page color illustrations & profuse tipped-in color plates from photographs by Rudolph Hoegler, Dr. N. Platon, & Professor N. Creutzburg [who contributes a chapter on the flowers of Crete]. The top page corners are lightly creased & the page edges are very slightly darkened. Very good in a fair dust wrapper.
