An intimate account of England's Number One Batsman, Leonard Hutton, who may be described as the 'White Rose Wonder' and the 'Pride of Pudsey' (he was born nearby at Fulneck), and scorer at the age of 22 of the highest Test innings ever batted, his 364 beating the record held by Don Bradman. It is from the manner of his writing in Cricket is My Life, modest and reticent, that the reader learns more about Len Hutton.
