Textured boards, 349pp [14]pp of publisher's ads. Henry Peter Brougham, 1st Baron Brougham and Vaux (1778-1868) was a British statesman who became Lord Chancellor of Great Britain. He was to become one of the chief advisors of Caroline of Brunswick, the estranged wife of George, the Prince of Wales ( the future George IV). This book consists of the diary of the times of George IV; the Queen's letter to the king; Political Characters; Public characters, Congress of Verona. Volume I only. (1.5 JM HOQ 102/b2. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾".
