First Edition 1958. The first crossing of Antarctica from Shackleton Base in the Weddell Sea to Scott Base in the Ross Sea, a feat of courage and endurance that has rightly been called one of the truly heroic and magnificent feats of the last century. VG/VG ( Book - a little fading to extremities, mild bump top front corner, no previous owner name or insc. Hint of foxing to fore edge of book block. A sound clean copy. Dust Jacket- Mild to moderate shelf rubbing to extremities including some colour rubbing to spine edges else remarkably bright and clean and non price clipped - cover 30s. No other defects to book or jacket. Supplied in a removable proprietary protective sleeve).
