About This Item
William Heinemann, London, 1954. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Good Condition/Fair. 250 g; X, 138 pages, last page blank, in decorated dustjacket. Foxing to all edges of the text block, offset tanning to the end pages, foxing to the preliminary few pages, otherwise the text itself is clean and bright. Water stain evident to the external edge of the rear board, the dust jacket is severely foxed, and the front panel is partially detached from the spine, and there is a small piece missing from the lower left-hand corner of the rear panel. These stories are unusual without being consciously eccentric. Delicate in style, sometimes almost ambiguous in emotion, they explore the unexpected predicament, the concealed tragedy or comedy in human affairs. Size: 12mo (Small Hardcover). Dust Jacket price-clipped. Please refer to accompanying picture (s). Quantity Available: 1. Shipped Weight: Under 500 grams. Category: Fiction; Fiction -- Short Stories; Inventory No: 0214598. .
