Attractively rebound (20th c.) in quarter maroon morocco over hand-marbled boards; 385pp, seven inserted leaves of color plates (including frontispiece). Fine. Pretty copy of this celebrated first-person account of life on a 19th-century whaler. Originally published in 1898, the work went through many editions, most (like this one) oriented to juvenile readers. With eight attractive color plates by Stephen Reid.
