About This Item
London, England: Croom Helm Ltd, 1978. Book. Good. Hardcover with Dust Jacket. First English Language Edition. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Hardcover with black boards and pictorial dust jacket, first english language edition, 470gms, 289 pages. This book is a pitiless indictment of the German philistine mentality, which the author finds at the roots of Germany's embrace of totalitarianism. It has become a timeless classic and part of the vocabulary of postwar German reconstruction and rehabilitation. Book is in good condition with minor general wear and tear and light page discolouration throughout. There is a small pen mark from a previous owner on the inside front endpaper. Dust jacket is in good condition with moderate shelf wear and a few small nicks. Dust jacket also displays some fading at the front, otherwise no other pre-loved markings..
