New York: Bonanza, 1979. 288 pp, 4to (12 1/8" H). Profusely illus in b&w with photographs, diagrams, plans, cutaways, advertisements. "The volume is mainly composed of a facsimile reprint of a souvenir number of 'The Shipbuilder and Marine Engine-builder'. The original issue was dated June 1936 and was published to commemorate the maiden voyage of this much-loved ship. A valuable addition is a specially written illustrated epilogue by Leslie Reade, continuing the story of the ship's career after its launching." Previous owner's name, place, Christmas date and signature in ink on free front endpaper; tiny dint at bottom of each board; tiny scuff at bottom of front board; extra fold crease on fold-out cross-section illustration at rear of book. Dust jacket has has light rubbing, some areas of light edge wrinkling with minor wear, several very small edge tears, tears and tiny chips at top of spine - archivally taped.. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good+.
