This is a memoir of the holistic physician Dr. Jonathan Hullah, who finds ways ("cunningly") to effect cures in otherwise incurable patients. This work first published in Canada by McClelland & Stewart in 1994. --- In teal paper-covered boards backed in black cloth with spine titling in gilt. Jacket features Jill Krementz photographic portrait of the author to back panel. --- A well-preserved copy: tightly-bound and unmarked, though with a little discoloration to cloth. Synopsis

Robertson Davies (1913-1995) had three successive careers during the time he became an internationally acclaimed author: actor, publisher, and, finally, professor at the University of Toronto. The author of twelve novels and several volumes of essays and plays, he was the first Canadian to be inducted into the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
