Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1975. First edition twenty-first printing with original dust jacket. H. A. Rey. 4to, 47 pp, with illustrated endpapers and paste-downs. The dust jacket is in very good condition. Tape repairs on the verso to the top and bottom of the spine. Minor wear to the panels and sun fading to the spine. The original price of $9.95 is present on the front flap. The book is in very good plus to near fine condition. The illustrated boards are extremely well preserved with just a minor pen mark across the front board. The textblock is clean and fresh with bright, colorful illustrations. A rare copy of one of children's literature's most beloved characters.
