Stone captured like nobody else the peculiar nature of Olde England, with photos of festivals, pageants, gypsies, the poor, the common and the just plain weird, like the men celebrating the Hare Pie and Bottle Kicking Festival in Holaton.Condition of this book:Dust jacket is chipped, price-clipped, and has small wrinkles.Boards very good, inscription inked onto inside cover, minor soiling at top edge, images fine. Size: Quarto. unpaginated. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact.
