Edinburgh, Scotland, U.K.: William and Robert Chambers, 1844. No dust jacket. Hardcover. Marbled boards with leather-bound spine and leading corners. Boards are quite rubbed and scratched. Most of leather binding covering upper leading corner of rear board has been torn away. Spine is worn and rubbed, and spine ends are rather nicked. Leading corners are very worn. Penned and dated dedication (1848) on front endpaper. Name penned on front pastedown. Pages are a little tanned and have very minor age-spotting at a few points. Binding appears sound and contents remain clear. AF. Hardcover. Good/No Dust Jacket. Used.

Blind stamped decoration in the other compartments. Page edges marbled. Vol I has 672 Pages and Vol II has 717 Pages including the Index. Pages a little age darkened and some have a few spots of browning. Previous owner's name, dated 1843 on endpaper, also 2 later names.10" Tall.
