Boston, MA: Ginn & Company, 1900. Hardcover. Fair/No Jacket. Boards heavily soiled/stained, rubbed through on edges and extremities of spine. Still lays flat and square despite dark water stain to top and lateral page margins (not affecting the unmarked text or the numerous wonderful BW engraved prints). Spine crack beginning to split at front pastedown and POS on FFEP. Pages wavy but not noticeable when the book is closed. Abridged anthology of modern literary classics intended for young readers. Original copyright 1898, this is the 1900 edition. 374 pages + pronunciation guide. Collectible edition.
