Bottom half of frontispiece is missing. 244 pp. Text yellowed typical of age with light foxing. Numerous pencil markings throughout and on front free endpapers. Prior owners name in pencil on title page. Five full page b/w drawings and numerous smaller artworks by Jan Matulka. Contains 15 old Czechoslavak stories for children. Few first edition copies of this compilation are known to exist. Despite good- condition designation, this is a complete, easily readable copy of this rare book.
