Tan coloured cloth covered boards with blue coloured titles to the back strip. Illustrated dustwrapper with blue and red coloured titles to the front panel and blue coloured titles to the back strip. First published in Great Britain in 1945, a novel about a crusading district attorney. Softening to the back strip edges with a little rubbing of the book corners. The spine is o so slightly cocked. Browning to the text block edges and lighter Browning of the pages with foxing to the top text block edge. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and back strip edges. Browning, particularly to the back strip, of the dustwrapper with foxing. Foxing particularly to the creases and back strip. This is the first Australian edition. Size: 12mo (standard paperback).
