Half-leather with marbled boards and marbled text block edges. Volume I has a frontis., a vignette title and a plain title. Volume II has a plain title-page only. Both volumes have a half-title page. "Juvenalis et Persius". Both volumes are in Latin throughout. Volume I contains: a lengthy introduction, clx pages; the 16 satires which are set out across the upper part of the page with dual columns of notes beneath, each satire starts with an "Argumentum; Excursus ad Quadam Juvenalis Loca; Index Rerum et Verborum. 419 pages. Volume II contains commentaries on all 16 satires, 603 pages; and the Flacci Satirae VI (pages 607-733). Spines are brittle and damaged and have considerable areas of loss, boards are rubbed, internal binding is sound, significant foxing on prelims., clean pages. 2-volume set (complete).
