New York: The Viking Press, 1940. First Edition. Very Good. First edition, first printing. Publisher's coarse blue cloth binding decorated in red. Near Fine, with light toning to spine cloth and previous owner name inked to front free end paper. In a Near Fine dust jacket with publisher's original price intact, light edge wear, light toning to rear panel and light fading to the spine panel. A very sharp copy in a lovely dust jacket, scarcely found in such nice shape.
A collection of short stories by the Italian-American L.A. author, who was hailed by Charles Bukowski as a major influence.
