London: MacGibbon & Kee, 1964. Near Fine, faint toning front end page, bookplate of noted Celtic language and folklore scholar Edgar. M. Slotkin front paste down, mostly hidden by priced front flap, in Very Good dust jacket, light wear bottom edge of spine, stain along bottom edge of rear panel, slightly extending onto final blank end page. Bust of James Joyce on dust jacket by Desmond Mac Namara, jacket design by Jack Stoddart. The last of his novels published during his lifetime, O'Brien died in 1966. "The Dalkey Archive" was adapted as a play by Hugh Leonard, "When the Saints Go Cycling In", performed in 1965. First Edition. Near Fine/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
