A lovely, clean, tight near fine copy in a very good jacket. Original publisher's red boards - gilt embossed to the spine. No inscriptions. The text supported by numerous photographic reproductions - many in colour after the artist's work. The jacket has not been price-clipped and has slight shelf wear to the rear panel and a very fine, short entirely closed split in the outer laminate towards the tail of the spine. This copy also has a small, thin photo album included with four (reproduced - not originals) photographs of Ruby Loftus - the wartime machine engineer made famous by Dame Laura Knight - two of these images include Dame Laura Knight. A lovely well preserved copy.
