Green cloth with gilt titles and gilt portrait of Dumas to spine. 2 volumes in one, 485 and 467pp. Black and white illustrated frontispiece and four more plates, all present as expected. Edition stated on spine. Several detached pages but text appears complete. Some cracking to gutters with exposed netting opposite contents. Pages have light tanning and foxing throughout. Pencil inscription and sticker to front free endpaper. p411 detached with small edge tears and tanning. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Light sunning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. slight brown marks to spine, which feels a little uneven. Gilt is bright.
