Preserved in a removable jacket protector. Overall jacket condition is Very Good. Book: Slight bumping to lower corners, light foxing to page edges and endpapers, very clean text throughout. From the private library of Richard Adams, author of Watership Down. Inscribed to Richard Adams, on front free endpaper, with an original poem by Peter Dickinson: 'For Richard Adams, These things are only meteors born to die. But for the moment, at that mimic sky, which, God like, we create, you and I. Even the uninstructed child can stare and see, like real constellations, where your Great Bear glitted by my Lesser Bear. Peter Dickinson 23 iv 76'. After the inscription Dickinson has added a pencilled note: '(Let's not tell Michael Bond; I don't feel like re-writing Goldilocks.)' followed by his pencilled instruction to 'Rub this out'.
