Santa Barbara: Black Sparrow Press, 1981. Paperback. VERY GOOD. FIRST EDITION. Light soiling to covers. Mild crease to back cover. Tiny closed tear to top of last page. Tan illustrated front cover, red lettering. 281 pp. Clean, tight, bright. The tournefortia is a large tropical tree, ideally suite to the Southern California climate, that produces small delicate flowers and a kind of fleshy fruit. Poems of women, gambling and booze. Poems full of wit, struggles, perception and simplicity.
